The Annual Parish Meeting will be held in Chinley Community Centre, 21 Lower Lane, Chinley on Wednesday 24 May 2023 starting at 7:30pm.

Warm Space at Chinley Community Centre
UPDATE: The Warm Space sessions have now finished.
Join us in our Warm Space at Chinley Community Centre every Monday morning from 9:30am - 12:30pm for FREE hot drinks and biscuits. WiFi, board games, card games & puzzle books all available in a heated space. Meet new people and get advice and information. No need to book, just turn up!

Christmas Lights Switch-On Events
The Christmas Lights Switch-On events in the parish will take place as follows:
Chinley - Squirrel Green - Monday 28 November - 7pm
After the Christmas Tree lighting, everyone is then invited into St Mary's Church for more carols with Whaley Bridge Brass Band and Chinley Primary School choir.

Remembrance Sunday Services - Sunday 13 November 2022
Please see the attached poster for details of Remembrance Sunday services across the parish.
Please note that in Chinley the Parade will go from the Community Centre to the War Memorial where a short service will be held.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Chinley, Buxworth & Brownside Parish Council offer their deepest sympathies to the Royal Family on the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.
The flag on Squirrel Green is being flown at half-mast.
Floral tributes may be left on the grassed area in front of Buxton Town Hall or near the War Memorial in Norfolk Square, Glossop.

Notice of Public Rights and Publication of Unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return 2021/22
The unaudited Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR) for the year ended 31 March 2022 for Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish Council has been published here along with the Notice of Public Rights.
As it has yet to be reviewed by the appointed auditor, it is subject to change as a result of that review.
