Buxworth School Christmas Tree Lighting and Market
You are invited to Buxworth School for their Christmas Market on Friday 7 December 2018 from 4:30 till 7pm with Tree Lighting at 6pm.
Carol singing with Whaley Bridge Brass Band, mulled wine and mince pies and a Christmas Market with locally made gifts and produce.

Chinley Beacon Lighting Ceremony - Remembrance Sunday
On the evening of Remembrance Sunday a beacon will be lit on Squirrel Green in Chinley. This is part of a national tribute to the millions of men and women who died or were injured in the First World War. More than 1,200 Beacons of Light will be lit all across the country at 7pm symbolising an end to the darkness of war and a return to the light of peace.

Grand Re-Opening of Chinley Playground
We are very pleased to announce that the Grand Re-Opening of Chinley Playground will take place on Monday 15 October 2018 at 4pm. Phil Manford from Chinley Community Association will do the honours of cutting the ribbon! Do join us to enjoy the new facilities and free refreshments. There will also be balloons and a free raffle ticket for every child. We hope to see you there!

Chinley Playground Installation w.c. Monday 24 September 2018
We can confirm that the new playground in Chinley will be installed w.c. Monday 24 September 2018.
We anticipate the works taking approximately 3 weeks. The car park will be closed for a significant part of this to allow access for vehicles bringing containers, skips and deliveries on site.
