Village Litter-Picks in Chinley and Buxworth
The parish council have organised two village litter-picks in June 2019 as follows:
Chinley - Saturday 29 June 2019 - Meet at 10am on Squirrel Green
Buxworth - Sunday 30 June 2019 - Meet at 10am in the Car Park at Buxworth Rec
Everyone welcome, the more the merrier! Children must be accompanied by an adult please. All equipment provided.

Closure of Sheffield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith
We have been notified by Derbyshire County Council that Sheffield Road in Chapel-en-le-Frith, from the junction with Market Street, to the junction with Frith Knoll Road, will be closed from 29 April 2019 until the end of October so that major works can take place to fix a broken culvert.

Thank you to the Litter Heroes of Chinley and Buxworth!
In association with the Great British Spring Clean litter-picks took place in both Chinley and Buxworth in March and April organised by the parish council with equipment loaned from High Peak Borough Council. Both days were blessed with good weather and in total approximately 50 volunteer litter heroes gave up their time collecting around 60 big bags of litter helping to improve the environment on... In association with the Great British Spring Clean the parish council are organising a community litter-pick around Chinley. Meet on Squirrel Green at 10am on Saturday 30 March 2019. Everyone welcome - children must be accompanied by an adult please. A circular route, approximately 2 miles long, taking 1 - 1.5 hours. Please wear your own gloves. All other equipment provided.
