Over 50 picnickers enjoyed the sunshine at the Friends of Chinley Park Nature Reserve Picnic on Saturday 23 June. Amongst them was a group of Esperanto speakers visiting Chinley for the first time. The Annual Governance Statement and Accounting Statements for the year ended 31 March 2018 for Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish Council have been approved and are published here. The statement of accounts are currently unaudited and may be subject to change. The period for the exercise of public rights runs from Monday 18 June 2018 to Friday 27 July 2018.

Christmas Lights Switch On Events

The annual Christmas Lights Switch On events will happen in our parish as follows:

Monday 4th December - 7pm at Squirrel Green - followed by carols, readings and refreshments at St. Mary's Church.

Friday 8th December - 6pm at Buxworth School - followed by a Christmas Market.
