Chinley Buxworth & Brownside Parish Council

Having moved to Chinley in 1995 with two young children I decided in 2012 to start trying to put a little back into the community that had been such a great place for my children to grow up in.

I became a Parish Councillor on 28^th June 2012 and was elected as Chairman of the Parish Council for 2016/17 at the Annual Parish Council Meeting in May 2016. I served as Chairman for two years. I was then elected Vice Chairman in May 2018, May 2019, May 2020 and May 2021. In January 2022 I was elected as Chairman.

Our Parish has a wide range of community activities and I hope I can add my small efforts to the continuation and improvement of our fantastic community spirit.

I am a chartered surveyor by profession and hopefully my professional skills can be of some benefit particularly to the efforts to provide a new community centre and to improve the recreational facilities in both Chinley and Buxworth.
