Over 50 picnickers enjoyed the sunshine at the Friends of Chinley Park Nature Reserve Picnic on Saturday 23 June. Amongst them was a group of Esperanto speakers visiting Chinley for the first time. All had the chance to learn key facts about bats – an evening bat walk is planned later in the year – as well as hunt for 'lady birds' in the meadow and identify different bird song. You could also just relax and relish what is a marvellous environment for wildlife. The Friends of Chinley Park look after the nature reserve. You're warmly invited to join us one day. More »

The Annual Governance Statement and Accounting Statements for the year ended 31 March 2018 for Chinley, Buxworth and Brownside Parish Council have been approved and are published here. The statement of accounts are currently unaudited and may be subject to change. The period for the exercise of public rights runs from Monday 18 June 2018 to Friday 27 July 2018. More »

The Summer 2018 edition of the Parish Newsletter has now been published. It has been delivered to the majority of the parish in conjunction with the High Peak Review newspaper and is also available to collect from the Parish Room, Chinley, from Chinley Community Centre and from Chinley Post Office.
